(Reuters) – Belarus’ central bank said on Friday it was recommending local banks pay no dividends this year and use accrued profits to bolster capital reserves.
The regulator also said banks were allowed to ignore the depreciation of the Belarusian ruble – which has lost 20% of its value against the US dollar since Russia invaded Ukraine – when calculating the reserves needed for their assets. .
