Central Bank of India embarks on digital transformation

The Central Bank of India (CBoI) has embarked on a digital transformation project to improve customer experience, drive revenue growth, accelerate cost reduction and improve productivity.

The project, which will be implemented in a phased manner with the help of a consultancy firm, is being undertaken by the Bank to transition from its traditional banking business model to a seamless digital banking business model, according to a CBoI statement. .

The digital banking model will be enabled through multiple channels such as full app, mobile banking, internet banking, tab banking, and business correspondent points among others.

The public sector bank wants to make customer journeys and business processes more agile, customer-centric and simplified to retain existing customers and attract millennials through digital modes.

As part of the digital transformation, CBoI also plans to align its human resources with the digital environment, establishing an integrated call center, CRM, payments ecosystem, Fintech/online market integration, wealth management, collection management and the creation of a highly secure environment. and data-driven digital banking, he added.
