Cuentas adds new features to its mobile banking app

Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, Cuentas is a convenient mobile banking app that gives consumers access to money in their own way. In the latest version of the app, Cuentas offers cardholders more flexibility and convenience than ever thanks to:

  • 2 days early access to payments with direct deposit: Cuentas cardholders can now access their money up to two days faster when they deposit their earnings or government checks directly.
  • P2P payments free of charge: Cuentas cardholders can Send or request money directly to or from family and friends who are also cardholders, directly from the Cuentas app. There is no charge for app-to-app transfers made on the Cuentas App.
  • More Retail Digital Products at a Discount on the Cuentas Digital Store: Exclusively for cardholders, Cuentas allows users to shop for even more popular brands than ever at discounted prices from the Cuentas Digital Store in the Cuentas App. Cardholders simply click and save, and the app will automatically calculate and show each discount during the purchase process. Discounts can range from 2% to 50%, depending on the product.

New functions for money management

App users can receive notifications every time they send or receive money, view transaction history at any time, and choose from other notification options to more easily manage the flow of funds directly in their Cuentas account.

Anyone 18 years or older can download the Cuentas app and apply for a card. No credit check or bank account is required and cardholders can register with an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) or Social Security Number (SSN), and consular matrícula is also accepted as an additional form of identification.
