Elon Musk made a ‘typo’ and Twitter wants you to use the ‘Hodl’ cryptocurrency dictionary to decode it

Elon Musk’s love for cryptocurrencies remains undefeated. The head of Tesla, who has consistently rallied support for bitcoin and dogecoin, posted a rather existential question on Saturday on his favorite internet corner: Twitter. Keeping it simple and straight, Musk went to the microblogging site and asked, “What’s the future hodl?” Notice the typo? Did Elon Musk do a boo-boo? Many on the platform who follow the lead of SpaceX have scratched their heads.

Others offered to pass the dictionary to Mr. Musk.

“HODL is a term derived from a misspelling of ‘hold’ which refers to buy and hold strategies in the context of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies,” investopedia States.

Those in the know were quick to clear the air under Musk’s mentions.

A tweet from Musk that doesn’t feature memes? Not possible.

Musk who has regularly tweeted about Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency meme for a while, led to the all-time high of $ 0.065448, up around 35% from its 24-hour low of 0.048356 $, according to CoinDesk in early February. The price of the cryptocurrency then fell again before climbing back to around 25% gain. The Shiba Inu-themed digital coin then went above 8 cents for the first time, just a week after dropping to 2.5 cents and triggering an outcry on Reddit.

Musk had said he supported the major holders of the digital currency based on Dogecoin memes by selling most of their coins, adding that he felt that too much concentration in Dogecoin was the “real problem”.

“If the major Dogecoin holders sell most of their coins, it will have my full support. Too much focus is the only real problem in my opinion, “he tweeted. But that wasn’t all – he offered to pay” the real dollar “for it.

Musk published a Twitter poll in February asking his 45.8 million subscribers to choose “Earth’s future currency.”

He gave two options: “Dogecoin to Moooonn” or “All other crypto combined”.

The poll resulted in 71.3% of 2.4 million voters saying “Dogecoin to the Moooonn” would be the future of the currency.
